The 21st century network ('21CN')

The 21st century network is an advanced communication network for the future, which will consolidate BT's existing 16 separate networks - each of which supports a different type of communication service - into a single, multi-service platform.

21CN will establish a common platform for all communication providers and the services they deliver - whether these are voice, data, video or internet services, either fixed-line or wireless. It will provide the infrastructure to enable communication between any device, from anywhere, at any time.

For more information on the platform, see 'What is 21CN'
