BT is a global company and we are delighted to be the title sponsor of BT River of Music, a weekend of free music from around the world on six stages at landmarks along the River Thames, held on 21 and 22 July 2012.

BT River of Music

It’s designed to welcome the world to London on the weekend before the Opening Ceremony of the Games and there will be performances from musicians representing all the Olympic and Paralympic nations, all 205 of them, from leading international musicians and major stars to homegrown talent from across the UK. With a capacity of more than 80,000 each day, BT River of Music will be the summer’s biggest world music festival.

Musicians from the world's major continents will be represented across six stages: Battersea Park (Asia stage); Trafalgar Square (Europe stage); Somerset House (Europe stage); Tower of London (Americas stage); Greenwich Old Royal Naval College (Oceania stage) and London Pleasure Gardens (Africa stage). The festival represents London’s status as a global cultural capital, and offers another opportunity to bring people and communities together, and celebrate the spirit of the Games.
