BT Digital Champions

Young people now grow up using laptops and smartphones, and the internet is second nature to them. In 2012 we launched BT Digital Champions, in association with the children’s charity The Transformation Trust, to encourage young people across the UK to share their digital skills with older generations.

Each student taking part volunteers to spend at least an hour with someone in their local community, teaching them the basics of using a computer and getting online: how to connect to the internet, how to find a website and how to send an email. To find out more or to sign your school up, visit BT Digital Champions.

We celebrate and reward the work of BT Digital Champions from across England and Wales by inviting them to The Transformation Trust’s Rock Assembly at Wembley Arena - the loudest and most glamorous end-of-term assembly. In 2013, the line-up included Wretch 32, Misha B, Roll Deep and Amelia Lily.
