BT Digital Champions
The BT Digital Champions programme
Ten years of recognising ‘BT Internet Rangers’ - young people who share their digital skills with older generations - has taught us the power of cross generational learning.
In 2012 we took BT Internet Rangers one step further launching a new programme to proactively encourage more than 10,000 children across the UK to become ‘BT Digital Champions’. In association with the children’s charity The Transformation Trust, the initiative has been a huge success, already recruiting over 19,000 school children from 158 schools across the UK to become BT Digital Champions. Together these children have already trained over 20,000 people in their local communities with more sessions planned.
BT Digital Champions will continue to run during 2013-14 and our our aim is for 20,000 student to share their internet skills and help people get online for the first time.
