As part of the radical business transformation that’s driving this ambitious and exciting programme, we’ve also now created BT Design and BT Operate, two closely aligned but independent units, specifically to form the backbone of BT’s networked IT strategy.

BT Design is responsible for designing and developing new services, while BT Operate oversees how those services are deployed and operated over the network.

Together, we develop and operate services for BT Retail, BT Global Services, BT Wholesale, Openreach and the wider communications industry. We offer a career environment that can attract, retain and develop best-in-class skills, and we currently employ around 20,000 people worldwide – many of whom are at the peak of their profession.

A big part of our role is to keep BT at the forefront of IT. To do that, we need highly trained professionals equipped to take on a wide range of professional services assignments. They can vary from designing new networks and IT systems to high-level consultancy projects.
