Please also list any periods of travel or unemployment and highlight any work you've done for BT - including time spent on our undergraduate placement scheme.
Educational record
Please make sure you have the minimum educational qualifications before you submit your application. Please visit our What We’re Looking For section to view our minimum recruitment criteria.
Record your academic qualifications starting with the most recent. Include any other qualifications such as:
- Master or PhD degree
- Bachelor Degree (you’ll need at least a 2.1)
- HND, HNC, NVQs, BTEC
- OU credits

You'll need to choose the stream you want to be considered for. If you apply to the Functional Specialist stream, you'll also be asked to choose which function you'd like to work in.

All opportunities outside the UK are in the Professional Services and Customer Experience stream.
Location
You have the opportunity to choose up to three locations in which you would like to work. Around 80% of our graduate roles are based in the UK, and we ask you to select the region(s) in the UK where you would most like to be based.
There are also opportunities available in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South America, and we ask you to select the country in which you would prefer to work. You can select up to three preferred country locations, but you must have the permanent right to work there – EU citizens can work in any European country. Indicate your preferences in priority order in the boxes provided. You must also be fluent in the local business language of the country in which you wish to work.
Competency-based questions
These questions are designed to help us understand how you communicate with and influence others in a team and your approach to getting things done. We use the responses to these questions as the key information by which to assess your application and we strongly recommend that your set aside time to think carefully about your responses and use the full word allocation. These questions are mandatory and must be completed. If you don’t complete these questions we won’t be able to accept your application.
Leadership
Tell us about any leadership experience you might have. This can take many different forms, such as club or society leadership, team leadership or work-related leadership.
Additional information
Use this section to provide any further information you think is relevant to your application, including: specific interests; specialist skills or knowledge; any interest you have in working overseas and, if so, where; and membership of professional bodies.
