BT Auto-ID and BT Design have worked together to deliver a demonstration of the use of radio frequency identification (RFID) tagging for Boeing. They will be attaching RFID tags to all major components of the aircraft, enabling parts to be identified from a distance by tag reading equipment.
The BT Convention Centre, part of the £146 million Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool (ACC Liverpool), is the first purpose-built facility of its kind in the UK to have secured a naming rights deal.
BT is to expand its research and development capability in China with the opening of a new R&D centre in Shanghai.
BT will also launch a Technology and Service centre in the Chinese city of Dalian.
