At BT, we recruit MBAs for one simple reason: our industry thrives on fresh perspectives. With today’s demand for innovation, we’ve expanded intake to our MBA Leadership Programme to respond to this challenge, making us one of the UK’s top leading Industry Sector MBA recruiters. Each year we recruit in excess of 20 full-time MBAs and 25 Summer Interns into our business.

Our MBA programme operates in every area of BT and offers tailored support and development. It is designed to put you into roles where you can make the most difference - at the cutting edge of our business.

We look to attract MBAs from a wide variety of backgrounds into strategic roles that will help to transform our entire business - not solely IT or telecoms. Technical experience is not a prerequisite for all roles - and you will get the chance to work across our business in a variety of functions.

Typically our MBAs expect to leave the programme after 12 -18 months, but the scale and type of projects you'll work on during that time will vary greatly. They can last anywhere from a few weeks to several months.

Development is thorough and ongoing. It will equip you for the challenges you face every day and will prepare you to be a future leader of our business – you'll quickly discover that we are as ambitious for you as you are.

The MBA Leadership Programme is part of BT’s talent attraction initiative. It was launched in March 2005 to recruit MBA graduates. The programme aims to:

  • Attract newly qualified MBAs with proven commercial experience from the world’s leading business schools;
  • Enrich BT with business and leadership skilled employees who will contribute to delivering BT’s strategy;
  • Introduce change agents and new ideas into the organisation to drive the desired transformation initiatives; and
  • Create a diverse team that works with different units across the whole of BT, promoting the circulation of ideas and best practices.
