My first project was to analyse the sales and repair process for over 200 products sold by BT Business to its corporate customers. I was given responsibility to manage data analysis and lead a team of three analysts in India from TechMahindra, four process consultants from Accenture & four statistics consultants from CVL. This project highlights two keys strengths of the program: you are allowed to swim at the deep end of the pool and problems you face will be extremely challenging. This project supported the creation of 50+ new programs within BT Business and put down a statistical foundation for analysis.
My next project with BT’s group portfolio & strategy was to analyse the entire capex spend across BT for FY08/09, a £3.2bn spend. We highlighted issues around volume forecasting overlaps between product classes that would save BT millions of pounds during product rollout. I would also collaborate to define BT’s Unified Communication product strategy for the next 3-5 years. I have currently joined an assignment to support business operations for Al-Noor, CEO BT Design.
These projects have helped develop my relationships. Navigating a path within BT is challenging, it requires an ability to deal with ambiguity and an intense passion for delivering customer centric solutions. BT is at the forefront of an intense transformational challenge and the lessons I learn here will stand me well in future.
