We have had a continuous presence in the U.S. since 1988 and today have more than 4,300 employees in the U.S. and Canada. We offer enterprises a range of networked IT services, including high performance networking, convergence and collaboration, security, contact center and enterprise mobility solutions. These services are provided through our professional services engagements, managed and network services or full outsourcing and IT transformation from such business units as BT Advise and BT Global Services.
We own and operate our own network infrastructure in North America. This includes nation-wide reach to all major U.S. and Canadian cities. We also have 26 MPLS nodes across the region, making up one of the larger MPLS networks of any carrier in the region. This expanded footprint enables us to reach more than 80% of key customers' sites within a 200-mile radius.
More than half of BT's top 2,000 customers are either headquartered in the U.S. or are European companies with significant operations in the Americas. BT serves many large enterprise customers in the U.S., including AstraZeneca, PepsiCo, Reuters, Unilever, and many of the world's largest financial institutions.
