
BT has strong links into higher education, and is committed to expanding them through our Short Term Research Fellowship scheme.
The scheme offers researchers the opportunity to carry out a research project that they propose - typically of six weeks’ duration - with a focus on innovative ideas that will challenge current thinking. The proposal should be relevant to BT business.

The scheme is open to lecturers, professors and Ph.D-qualified research students working in fields relevant to a global IT, communications and networking services company. For some or all of the of the six week period you may be based at Adastral Park, near Ipswich, UK: one of the leading centres of technical innovation in the communications world.
Results from projects undertaken often lead to longer-term research and a continuation of relationships between BT and research fellows.
There is an Honorarium payment of £4,500.00 after the fellowship is completed. Travel and subsistence is negotiated with the fellow’s BT line manager.
