We've divided the form into different sections. You'll need to enter your email address (so we can contact you) Make sure you check your application thoroughly – as once you hit submit, there's no turning back.

Work experience

List all relevant work experience on your CV, including work at home and any holiday experience. Please also list any periods of travel or unemployment and highlight any work you've done for BT.

Educational record

Please make sure you have the minimum educational qualifications before you submit your application. Check our opportunities section to find out which subjects are considered relevant to each work area.

Record your academic qualifications on your CV, starting with the most recent. Include any other qualifications, such as:

HND, HNC, NVQs, BTEC
OU credits
Access
A-Levels and S-Levels
Highers
Leaving Certificate
GCSEs, O-Levels, AO-Levels and CSEs
Sixth-year studies
Ordinaries, Intermediates
Overseas equivalents, e.g. Baccalaureate, Abitur, VWO Diploma

Second languages

Additional languages aren't essential but may prove useful if you want to travel in the course of your work. Please include this information in your CV and indicate how fluent you are in each language.

Career opportunities

You'll need to choose the stream you want to be considered for. If you apply to the Functional Specialist stream, you'll also be asked to choose which function you'd like to work in. When we look at your application, we'll assign you to a project that we think best suits your skills.

Location

Please indicate where you would like to work. You can select up to three preferred locations. Show your preferences in priority order in the boxes provided. Be flexible if possible, but don't over-estimate your ability to commute long distances every day.

Why do you want to work for BT?

We don’t expect you to be an expert about BT, but we do want to understand what interests you about the organisation and why you want to work for us. You can also use this section to provide any further information you think is relevant to your application, including: specific interests; specialist skills or knowledge and membership of professional bodies.

Remember there is a 300 word limit to this section.

Leadership

Please tell us about any leadership experience you might have and include this information in your CV. This can take many different forms, such as club or society leadership, team leadership or work-related leadership.

CV

You'll be asked to attach your CV to the application form. We'll use the information to assess how suitable you are for the stream you're applying to.
