Dr Chris Tuppen - Head of Sustainable Development & Corporate Accountability

Chris Tuppen co-ordinates development of BT's global strategy across the social, environmental and economic dimensions of sustainable development. He is also responsible for producing the company's corporate accountability reports and for communicating BT's business case for corporate social responsibility. He formerly led BT's environmental issues unit.
He has served on the boards of CSR Europe and Business for Social Responsibility and currently sits on the Council of AccountAbility, the board of the Global e- Sustainability Initiative and the Social and Environmental Committee of the ACCA. He previously co-chaired the GRI measurement working group and chaired the ETNO (European Telecommunication Network Operators Association) environmental working group. He is a member of Nike's report Review Committee.
In January 2008, Chris Tuppen was named by The Guardian newspaper as one of the 50 people who could save the planet from environmental disaster. You can find further details on their website.
