Climate change is without a doubt one the most pressing issues now facing the world and BT is playing its part as a key member of the CBI’s Climate Change Board to help transform the UK into a low carbon economy.
The board was set up in 2008 to deliver the commitments set out in the CBI 2007 climate change taskforce report “Everybody’s Business”.
Comprised of 17 leaders from the business community who have made a commitment to tackling climate change, the board members represent key sectors of the UK economy, whose companies globally employ nearly 2 million people and generate annual revenues of approximately £1000bn.
Gavin Patterson, Chief Executive BT Retail represents BT on the CBI Climate Change Board.
