As one of the UK’s largest consumers of electricity, we’re focused on saving energy wherever possible. We also aim to generate 25% of our current electricity needs from ’green’ energy by 2016 (the equivalent to powering 122,000 homes).
BT’s wind farm initiative - Wind for change - is the UK’s biggest corporate green energy project outside the energy sector and is part of a wider company environmental programme where we are committed to:
- Reducing our own carbon footprint
- Influencing our suppliers to produce products that use less energy
- Helping our customers by offering products & services that use less energy
- Working with our employees to reduce their carbon footprint at home and work
