BT encourages agile working, making the most of appropriate workplace solutions to enable people to do their job more efficiently and effectively.
- Around 70,000 BT employees work flexibly
- More than 11,000 regularly work from home
- We encourage people to use conferencing as an alternative to travel
Last year we eliminated over 800,000 meetings and saved at least 97,000 tonnes of CO2 on business travel through our employees’ use of audio, video and web conferencing/collaboration services from the workplace or home.
Conferencing also helps the bottom line, and has saved BT an average £300 per person per trip in travel costs and lost time.
