Wireless LAN

BT's wireless LAN (local area network) is a secure communications infrastructure that enables NHS users to undertake a wide range of activities such as accessing electronic patient records, using different tracking services or positive patient identification over different applications.

Wireless LANs can give NHS staff access to salient information wherever they are and whenever they need it - there's no need for them to have to keep returning to a specific PC to obtain the information they require.

If they choose to, doctors or nurses can share information with their patients or colleagues potentially helping to reduce the number of errors made and increase patient safety.
