BT recently promoted its work as a key partner and innovator in healthcare at this year’s NHS Confederation annual conference. The event, which took place in Manchester, attracted hundreds of senior figures from across the NHS as well as politicians and key health opinion formers.
NHS Confederation brings together and represents the whole of the NHS on the issues that matter to all those involved in healthcare. This year’s conference was particularly timely given the challenges facing healthcare leaders and the industry as a whole.
Representatives from BT’s health team were there to meet senior decision makers, talk to them about BT’s work and demonstrate how our innovative products and services can help address the challenges the NHS currently faces. One challenge in particular was addressed at the event by a panel of experts, chaired by Dr Justin Whatling, chief clinical officer, BT Health. Our workshop “Buried treasure: how to turn data into valuable information to support commissioning” saw experts from the NHS and industry discuss ways to turn data into valuable information.
The BT stand was visited by several VIPs, including Secretary of State for Health, Andrew Lansley MP, chief executive of the NHS, David Nicolson, and Mike Farrar, chief executive of NHS Confederation.
