N3 wins Government Computing Award
Last night, N3 won the Government Computing Awards for Innovation for ‘best project – government to government’. This Award recognises a project that demonstrates effective joined up working between at least two organisations in the public sector: BT and the NHS working together on N3 – Connecting the NHS.
Rubbing shoulders with wax celebrities at Madame Tussaud’s, Stuart Hill N3 CEO collected the Award. Stuart said: "It was a fabulous night, and when you see some of the other ground breaking technology projects within the public sector, it puts into clear perspective the N3 service and what the team in N3SP have achieved. It’s recognition that everyone within N3SP can be proud of."
Len Chard, N3 Programme Manager NHS Connecting for Health, said: “We were thrilled to reach the shortlist in two categories and now winning this Award is a great result. It recognises the hard work and commitment of our team in making N3 a success.”
Mark Say, editor of GC Magazine and chair of the judging panel, said: "The entries for the awards have shown there has been no flagging in the momentum to get more out of IT for public services. People in all parts of the public sector are continuing to show imagination and application in raising the bar for better services and more efficient government."
The Government Computing Awards for Innovation provide nationwide recognition for a project's contribution to the use of technology in transforming government. The awards are the longest established accolades in the field of public sector IT.
