BT Health customer Barts and The London NHS Trust won a prestigious award on Thursday 19 January at the UK Public Sector Digital Awards, against tough competition.
The Trust’s Clinical Haematology unit was judged the ‘best example of digital transformation’ winner for their trailblazing use of Cerner Millennium, the electronic patient record system BT has worked in partnership with them to implement.
BT’s work with the NHS is making a real difference to the way healthcare professionals are delivering patient care. Dr Dan Hart, consultant haematologist at Barts and The London NHS Trust said: “Electronic note keeping ensures immediate access to clinical data, anytime, anyplace, anywhere in the institution. It’s put an end to the traditional paper chase, which has certainly enhanced the patient journey and their safety.”
