An international study led by the University of Cambridge has found that one in three people has felt overwhelmed by technology such as texting, e-mail and social networking to the point that they feel they need to escape it.
However, some a few simple steps could help to improve well-being and avoid technology overwhelming family life, according to a BT-sponsored study.
The BT Balanced Communications Diet could be compared to the ‘five a day’ messaging associated with healthy eating.
To stay healthy, people need to eat a balanced diet. The same is true when it comes to using technology. People need to find a balance which works for them that will help them maintain a healthy relationship with technology.
This includes being aware of technology habits and setting up rules and boundaries about using technology.
