BT has been showcasing its very latest innovative work that is helping deliver better, safer and more efficient patient care to the NHS.
Taking centre stage at the recent Healthcare Innovation EXPO 2011 in London’s Docklands, BT showed how telehealth can help deliver a better patient experience in people’s homes.
Also on show was a mobile working solution that can increase the productivity of NHS people in the community. Other technologies and solutions demonstrated how the healthcare professionals can help increase efficiency and save money.
Said Clay van Doren, president of BT Global Health: “The NHS is facing a difficult and financially challenging time as it strives to make £20 billion of efficiency savings by 2014.
“To meet this challenge, the NHS is rightly looking to innovation to help it achieve efficiencies and increase productivity, whether this is through cutting-edge technology or just smarter ways of doing things,” he said.
With more than 60 years' experience of working closely with the NHS, BT remains at the forefront of developing new technologies for healthcare providers, bringing real benefits to both patients and medical professionals alike.
