BT and Io-me, a company spun-off from BT's Adastral Park research centre, have come together to develop a new lifestyle-linked mobile phone application.
Plotstar is an iPhone app that uses location-based services linked to lifestyle choice.
Clare Lawrence of BT Innovate & Design's business development team led delivery of the project.
She explained: "Plotstar can be used to discover new places to visit, to make bookings and arrange exciting things to do - wherever you are or wherever you're going. It can make suggestions and help plan pretty well anything you want - whether it's a night out with friends, a family trip or a complete city break.”
Io-me’s chief executive officer Phil Eames, added: "If you are thinking of going out, let Plotstar sort it out. It's an ideal companion for helping you plan your social life, no matter where you are. The feedback we have received from everyone who has used Plotstar's iPhone app so far has been extremely positive and we are excited to launch it with BT.”
He continued: “People want the internet to inspire them when deciding on things to do and places to go. Plotstar's iPhone app makes this a reality, and it does so in an easy to use, fun and interactive way."
