CRM application boosted by cloud computing service

CRM application boosted by cloud computing serviceBT Business has launched the Ribbit for Salesforce service in the UK, enabling mobile voice communications to be linked directly with existing Salesforce CRM systems.

Ribbit for Salesforce provided by BT converts voice recordings into text and stores them as e-mails in Salesforce CRM, so sales teams can quickly add notes via their mobile phones against customer accounts.

Incoming voice messages are also delivered as SMS or e-mails, allowing faster response times. Overall, it drives increased productivity for sales teams.

As Ribbit for Salesforce is delivered as a cloud computing service, it can be implemented quickly without infrastructure investment.

Chris Lindsay, general manager, BT Business applications, said: “As the first supplier to integrate voice services with Salesforce CRM through a cloud computing platform, BT is providing its customers with a huge competitive edge in today’s highly dynamic environment. The application will help firms make the most of every customer opportunity.”

Already available in the US, it is the first UK service utilising the Ribbit communications technology since BT’s acquisition of the Silicon Valley start-up last year and signals the company’s entry into the enterprise cloud services market.

Ribbit for Salesforce is available exclusively from BT Business to all new and existing UK Salesforce CRM users through a free trial now and will be commercially available later this year.
