BT Business offers free mobile broadband
Small businesses get internet access on the move for free
BT Business today launches the first broadband packages to offer small businesses mobile broadband as part of an all-inclusive option that enables them to connect on the move for free.
BT Business Total Broadband options 2 and 3 will now include a mobile broadband connection at no extra charge,1 delivering a complete broadband experience inside and outside the office for businesses.
Connecting is simple as BT’s new Access Manager software enables businesses to automatically access a fast and reliable network, whether via BT Openzone Wi-Fi hotspots or mobile networks (GPRS/3G/HSDPA/HSUPA).
With access to the best available networks, businesses will have the flexibility to be connected to the information they need to run their business when they are out
and about.

BT Business Total Broadband customers eligible for free mobile broadband can use the stylish plug and play USB data stick2 to make a fast, secure and easy connection to the mobile network, as well as at a choice of over 100,000 BT hotspots in the UK and Ireland with 2,000 BT Openzone minutes included in the offer. These can be used to connect at popular locations including airports, railway stations, leading hotel chains, motorway service stations, coffee shops, marinas and extensive coverage across 12 major city centres.
This is equivalent to spending more than three full working days at a Wi-Fi hotspot in a given month, providing great value. When out of Wi-Fi coverage there is a 1GB monthly download allowance to support, for example, browsing the internet 3. The mobile broadband offer features speeds of up to 7.2MBp/s over mobile networks4 and BT Access Manager will enable users to monitor both their Wi-Fi and data usage.
BT Business Mobile Broadband is also available as a standalone option with clear and simple pricing of £17.50 a month (excluding VAT). This provides unlimited use of both Wi-Fi and mobile networks5.
Customers looking for a choice of extra roaming and overseas locations to log on, can also choose from four, great value BT Openzone tariffs, providing Wi-Fi access at thousands of popular hotspots.

1 Offer ends 31.12.08. One mobile broadband E170 USB Datastick per connection available to new and existing BT Business Total Broadband customers taking 24 month minimum term contract on Option 2 (£26.99 a month) or 3 (£40.50 a month). Opt-in required. A charge of £12.50 a month for mobile broadband will apply after the minimum term. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other BT offer. 2. The new E170 USB data stick is Plug & Play which means there is no need for the manual CD installation of BT Access Manager software.
3. If a customer exceeds their monthly allowance overage charges will apply. If customers exceed their 1GBdata usage allowance, they will pay 10p per extra MB of data that they use. If a customer exceeds their allowance of 2,000 BT Openzone Wi-Fi minutes allowance, they will pay 10p per extra minute that they use (however, this will be capped at £40 each month.)
4. Unlimited use is subject to a fair usage policy. Usage policy is 3GB of mobile data and 4,000 Openzone minutes. Users will be contacted should they reach this limit.
5. Download speeds are subject to contention sharing, users’ computer equipment and HSDPA connection.
