What is a BT Community Challenge

A BT Community Challenge is where a team of BT people help you complete a community project over a day or half a day. So if it’s help painting, decorating, gardening your organisation needs help with or indeed anything else along those lines, read on for more details on how to set us a BT Community Challenge.

What does it cost

It’s simple, it will cost you nothing but if you can provide some tea and coffee to keep the team going, well that would be great!  

How does it work

You tell us what you need doing (using the BT Community Challenge Registration form) and we try to match your needs with a group of BT volunteers on a date that suits us both. If we get a match, we’ll make a site visit to agree what needs to be done and we’ll work with you to plan the event.

How does my organisation get involved

Complete the BT Community Challenge Registration form and we’ll be in touch. We’ll do our best, but we cannot guarantee to fulfil every request received.  

Examples of past Community challenges

• We re-lined a pond and built a shelter at a residential school in Amersham that is used to give children from inner cities a chance to discover nature.
• Redecorated a room at a sheltered home, making it more homely for the residents.
• Created a sensory garden for a school in West Yorkshire as a learning environment for the children.
• Refurbished an old church hall to be used for primary school workshops, and for free tutoring and language classes.
