The Manchester Communication Academy is being created as part of a programme to update and transform Manchester's education and give young people the skills and qualifications they need to compete effectively for jobs and fulfil their potential.
It's a brand new school which opened in Harpurhey, North Manchester, in September 2010. The Academy offers full-time education for students aged 11 to 18 and will provide a centre of excellence for the combined teaching of communication, collaboration and the use of technology.
BT is the lead partner of the Academy, along with Manchester City Council and the Manchester College. BT’s role will be to provide teaching staff and students with expertise and experience in education, communication, ICT, and the world of work.
