BT has won a top award for its corporate website at the CorpComms Awards 2007. The company triumphed in the “best corporate website - quoted companies” category - beating off strong competition from Aviva and BAe Systems to claim the honour.
BT Group’s website was praised by the CorpComms Awards judges for being “very clear and well signposted”.
The judging panel was also impressed by the site’s use of interactive media such as webcasts and podcasts, as well as real-time investor information. It also highlighted the enhanced search facility and improved navigation, which it described as “very user friendly”.
BT Group head of communications services Ross Chestney - who picked up the award at a ceremony in London last night - said: “It’s a real delight that the judges seemed to recognise that we in BT Group see our website as a fundamental part of our corporate communications strategy and that we are prepared to invest time, effort and resources into getting it right.”
