As part of our shareholder programme we continually seek to look for ways to recognise and reward our investors.
BT values the loyalty of its shareholders and offers discounts on various products and services. However, there are certain services where we have regulatory obligations to offer non-discriminatory prices and these include exchange lines and calls. This means that we must offer the same prices and terms to all customers, including shareholders. However, communications markets are evolving fast and increasing competition and developments in local loop unbundling and our wholesale products more generally, will lead to a lessening of these regulatory requirements over time.
With February and September dividend and May AGM (and Annual Accounts) mailings, we include special offers for shareholders on telephones, internet equipment as well as BT's Total Broadband services. In April 2006, BT acquired dabs.com plc a leading edge e-retailer and since then BT offers have included televisions and computing equipment.
For shareholders choosing to mandate their dividend payments, "e-shareholders", we have shared savings and increased e-shareholder benefits by forming partnerships with amongst others Apollo Travel, Hertz and Halifax Share Dealing. Our programme with Apollo Travel has included £150 of holiday vouchers, as well as holiday prize draws.
We will continue to build on our shareholder programme as new opportunities and services arise. For more details on-line please look at our offers for all shareholders and for e-shareholders.
