Prize draw terms and conditions

1. The prize draw is open to UK residents aged over 18 who, by 31 March 2009, sign up to have their BT dividends paid directly to their bank or building society account* by mandate (*direct payment BT shareholders), other than employees of Equiniti Limited.

2. The prize is not transferable.

3. There are five prizes of £500 (five hundred pounds) each by way of five BT cheques made payable to each of the winning shareholders, compliments of Equiniti Limited (BT’s Registrar).

4. Entry to the prize draw indicates acceptance of these rules as being final and binding. The draw will be made as soon as practical after the closing date of 31 March 2009.

5. .The prize winners will be the first five names drawn at random. They will be notified within a month after the prize draw being made and will be contacted by e-mail, telephone and/or by letter. The Promoter reserves the right to re-draw the prizes if the prize-winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable period of time or does not wish to accept the prize (to be established at the Promoter’s sole discretion). The names of the prize winners will be published in Your Share News on the BT Investor Centre.

5. No purchase necessary.

6. The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose this Free Prize Draw without prior notice in the event that unforeseen circumstances make this unavoidable.
