Olympic tickets prize draw terms & conditions

  1. Eligibility
    The prize draw is open to any UK residents aged 18 or over who has signed-up as an e-shareholder of BT Group plc by 30 June 2012. This means that you must have both your dividend paid directly to your bank or building society and have signed up for e-communication. Only one entry per person will be accepted.
  2. Availability
    The prize draw will run from 00.01 on 24 May 2012 until 23.59 on 30 June 2012. On 6 July 2012 (the ‘Draw Date’), one main prize winner and five secondary prize winners will be drawn at random from eligible entries. The main prize winner will not be eligible to win a secondary prize.
  3. Ticket Conditions
    All tickets provided will be subject to the ticket conditions of the London 2012 Olympic Games which can be found at http://www.tickets.london2012.com/purchaseterms.html
    There may also be additional conditions imposed by the organisers of the London 2012 Olympic Games (for example security regulations) by which the winner may be required to abide. Failure to abide by any of these conditions may result in the winner being refused entry to the London 2012 Olympic Games for which the Promoter shall have no liability.
  4. The Prizes
    The main prize will be two tickets to the Opening Ceremony, one nights accommodation (one room for double occupancy) in a London hotel and dinner for two at a hospitality facility of the Promoter’s choosing. Travel to/from London will not be reimbursed. However, transfers from the airport/mainline stations to the hotel and venue will be provided.

    Five secondary prize winners will receive one pair of tickets each to Track Cycling session CT007. Travel to/from the venue and associated costs will not be reimbursed.

    The Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of equivalent or greater value if this is necessary for reasons beyond its control. There is no cash alternative and the prizes are non-transferable. The Winners will be contacted to claim their prize within 7 days following the Draw Date. The Winners will receive their prize within 7 days of providing an email or address (as appropriate) for delivery of their prize.
  5. Entry
    Only existing shareholders who sign up to become an e-shareholder will automatically be entered into the draw. Entries that do not comply in full with all of these terms and conditions may be disqualified.
  6. Choosing the winner
    The main prize winner will be the first entry drawn at random from all eligible entries on the Draw Date. The secondary prize winners will be the next five entries drawn at random from all eligible entries on the Draw Date. Winners will be notified by email within 7    days following the Draw Date. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact winners. Failure to respond and/or provide an address for delivery may result in forfeiture of the prize. If a winner cannot be contacted, or is unable to comply with these terms and conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant.
  7. Winners' details
    A list of prize winners may be obtained by written request by sending an SAE to, BT Shareholder Services, pp A9D, BT Centre, 81 Newgate Street, London EC1A 7AJ within two months after the Draw Date.
  8. Acceptance of rules
    By entering this prize draw, entrants will be deemed to have read and understood, and accepted these rules and be bound by them. All decisions of the Promoter will be final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility will be taken by the Promoter for any answers that are illegible, misdirected, lost for technical or other reasons or received after the closing date, or sent in by agencies or third parties.
  9. Foreclosure
    The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose this prize draw without prior notice in the event that unforeseen circumstances make this unavoidable.
  10. Liability
    The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant resulting from entering this competition or by an entrant's acceptance or use of the prize, or any damage to any entrant's or other person's computer or mobile phone equipment as a consequence of downloading any material relating to this promotion. Nothing shall exclude the Promoter's liability for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.
  11. Jurisdiction
    This prize draw is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
