1. The prize draw is open to UK residents aged over 18 who, by 30 April 2008, are BT e-shareholders* who have signed up to receive shareholder offers and other e-mail alerts from BT (*BT shareholders who have signed up for e-communications), other than employees of BT Group plc
2. The prize is not transferable and there is no cash alternative available
3. The prize is £1,000 (one thousand pounds) to spend as you wish at the BT Shop by 31 October 2008. Delivery will be to the shareholder's address on the BT Group plc Share Register. The £1,000 may be spent in any amount(s) without restriction. The £1,000 may be applied in conjunction with any discounts or promotions offered by the BT Shop.
4. The prize winner will also receive (subject to survey and reasonable availability) the following services as free contracts on the terms as stated
Where there are existing contracts in place for these services already with the winner of the prize draw, he or she will be switched to the free contracts as soon as practicable. The prize winnner must place their orders for the free contracts for the above services by 31 October 2008. Services and/or subscriptions to services are provided subject to British Telecommunications plc standard terms and conditions.
5. The prize winner will be the first e-shareholder's name drawn at random by an independent person following the closing date of 30 April 2008. The prize winner will be notified within a month after the prize draw being made and will be contacted initially by e-mail; subsequently by telephone and/or by letter. The Promoter reserves the right to re-draw the prize if the prize-winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable period of time or does not wish to accept the prize (to be established at the Promoter’s sole discretion). The name of the prize winner will be published in Your Share News on the BT Investor Centre.

7. The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose this free prize draw without prior notice in the event that unforeseen circumstances make this unavoidable.
