John Dovey,
BT Regional Director, West Midlands

John Dovey was appointed as the new Regional Director for the West Midlands on 01 April 2007.  A life long resident of the region, John lives and works in Birmingham.

John is Director ICT Solutions BTB in BT Retail. He was previously President - UK Corporates and heads up the global channel operations team within the IP Networking division of BT Global Services. This division creates, supports and deploys all BT Global Services IP platforms, networks and products globally. The organisation works across over 120 countries utilising our unique blend of networking and integration skills.

During the last five years John has been involved in heading up ICT Sales activity across the Commercial and Brands Systems Integrator Sectors.  In addition, following the formulation of IP Networking, John lead the creation of the Design and Delivery organisation consultants globally.

John went to school in Stechford and Satley School Bordesley Green and has a degree in physics from Manchester University.  He is married with 2 children and his interests include football, keeping fit, going to the cinema and walks at the weekend with his family.  He is also a keen supporter of Birmingham City.
