Chet Patel
Regional Director for London

Chet Patel is the Managing Director of BT Wholesale Markets and took over from Duncan Ingram as Regional Director London on 01 February 2012. In his role as Managing Director BT wholesale he leads sales and provides focus to capitalise on BT’s unique position in the UK industry driving solution sales and new wave revenue growth.

With over seventeen years of senior management experience in number of different roles in BT, Chet has gained a deep knowledge of the telecoms and IT sector. He has a proven track record of successfully delivering top line growth, profit improvements, and customer satisfaction and retention. Prior to his current role, Chet held a number of key positions including Vice President of UK Products & Sales at BT Global Services and Director of Customer Service at BT Retail. Chet was also responsible for delivering the turnaround of the BT Redcare & Payphones.

In his capacity as Regional Director, Chet will chair the company’s London Board, throughout one of the most exciting times in London’s history bringing together all BT operations to focus on the needs of business and government at all levels. This is a critical role with the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games creating a focal point for the whole world and BT as the official communications services partner for what is arguably the biggest event on the planet this year.

Chet, 39, is married with three children and has lived in and around London for 15 years. He graduated from Leeds University with a degree in Economics & Politics. He also holds an MBA from Henley and completed his executive education at Tuck School of Business in the USA.
