Colm O’Neill is Chief Executive Officer of BT in Ireland, a leading communications and IT services company with annual revenues of £757 million and close to 3,000 employees. Colm joined BT in 2009 as Managing Director for Business, with responsibility for driving the company’s growth in the business and government sectors. He was appointed Chief Executive in September 2011.
Colm previously worked in EMC for nine years, holding a number of senior management positions across the UK and Ireland, including Country Manager for EMC Ireland. He has also held positions at Fujitsu Services and Price Waterhouse.
He is a member of the Board of the Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition, and an advocate of the importance of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) agenda across the island of Ireland. He sits on the Board of Business in the Community - Northern Ireland and is also an active participant on the Corporate Leadership Team of the Culture Company, responsible for delivering the Derry~Londonderry UK City of Culture 2013 programme. He graduated from University College Dublin (UCD) with an Honours degree in Computer Science and Maths and a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance, and also holds a Diploma in Professional Selling from Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT).
Colm is married to Caoimhe and has two daughters. His hobbies include music and rugby.
