BT's involvement with Hampden Park - Scotland's national stadium - is one of the longest-running sports sponsorships in Scotland.
BT Scotland became the first official sponsor of the iconic stadium in 1998. In March 2008 the long-running sponsorship was renewed for a further six years in a £2.5 million deal to run until 2014.
Over the years BT has supported a wide range of exciting initiatives at the stadium, including the development of Hampden's web site at www.hampden.org.uk and the creation of one of Europe's finest media centres, named after the late sports writer Jim Rodger.
BT also sponsors the Scottish Football Association's football museum and helped recreate the old Hampden press box using historic communications artefacts.
In the initial stages of the partnership, the old playing surface was sold off to fans, raising £9,000 for Scottish charities. The flagship south stand and main entrance to Hampden became the BT Scotland stand, now a familiar backdrop for TV interviews outside the ground.
The sponsorship is used by all BT lines of business operating within Scotland for a wide range of internal and external functions.
