Andy was appointed CEO of BT Global Services and a BT Group Board member in November 2001.

As CEO of BT Global Services Andy has driven the transformation of the division into a sharply focused operation providing networked IT services to multi-site organisations world-wide. The division has a workforce of approximately 30,000 people world wide, capability and assets that span the globe, and generated revenues of £8.6bn in the year ending 31 March 2006.

Prior to his role in Global Services Andy held several senior positions within BT, including CEO of BTopenworld which he led towards a track of gaining market share and set on the path to profitability, and Group Director of Strategy and Development during the late 1990s.

Andy began his career with Shell, achieving a solid foundation in sales and operational effectiveness in the global marketplace. Later joining Deloitte Haskins & Sells, he applied his expertise across a number of key sectors including communications, manufacturing and banking.

Andy is a board member of e-skills UK and was appointed a director on the NAVTEQ Board in March 2006. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Leeds University.
