BT Global Services sustainability roundtable - 24th June 2009
On 24th June 2009 Dinah McLeod, head of the BT Global Service sustainability practice, and Ninder Takhar, head of sustainability marketing at BT Global Services, hosted a roundtable on BT GS's strategy and portfolio around sustainability for an invited audience of international industry analysts.
Kicking off the event, Dinah demonstrated how sustainability runs throughout the BT Global Services portfolio, and Ted Shann, project director, BT GS sustainability practice, provided an update on BT’s Carbon Impact Assessment capability before detailing a selection of customer case studies.
BT’s pioneering endeavours in green data centres were outlined by Sanjay Varma, head of the IT transformation practice, BT GS, before the company’s "work anywhere" initiatives and homeshoring activities were discussed by Jonathan Brasnett, mobility capability lead and Ruth Rowan, head of CRM marketing and propositions respectively. Finally Mark Summerson, GM UC, presented BT’s impressive TelePresence story, before attendees and speakers retired to the top floor of the BT Tower to continue their discussions.
