Going carrier-class

LogoBT Wholesale has launched its new Ethernet service and has told communication provider customers to expect ‘carrier-grade quality’ with the new service.

The service offers providers a high-bandwidth, cost-effective, flexible networking solution for linking up multiple sites across the UK for their enterprise and business customers.

Wholesale Ethernet also allows mobile operators to better support bandwidth-hungry services based on 3G and HSDPA technology. It’s the latest service to launch over BT’s 21CN platform.

Cameron Rejali, managing director of products and strategy in BT Wholesale, said: “We are building a national Ethernet service that provides our customers with cost-efficiencies, bandwidth capacity and service flexibility that no other wholesale provider can offer today.”

Wholesale Ethernet from BT aims to offer the leading capability with the widest available service in the UK by spring 2009.
