BT Fresca surfs online wave
The continued growth in online shopping has boosted business for BT's e-commerce division, BT Fresca.
Retail figures from IMRG showed online retailers had a 19 per cent increase in sales in January following a bumper Christmas.
BT Fresca, the e-commerce division of BT's specialist retail unit Expedite, has seen significant new business as a result. It has signed new e-commerce contracts with UK high-street names Liberty, The Perfume Shop, Matalan, Kew, Matches Fashion, T J Hughes and Savoir Faire.com.
It has also won contracts to upgrade e-commerce websites for The Shoe Studio, Oasis and Warehouse. BT Fresca has also seen 60 per cent annual revenue growth since it was acquired by BT in January 2008.
Sarah Hughes, BT Fresca managing director, said: "Sales at BT Fresca have defied the current economic downturn as retailers continue to sign-up for our services to help them reach new customers and take market share from their competition."
