Stephen Crisp has been Director of European Affairs for BT since January 2005.
Prior to that Stephen was Business and Environment Adviser at DEFRA, working to the Environment Minister.
Stephen joined DEFRA from BT, whom he first joined in 1995, working as a corporate lobbyist before establishing and leading BT's first commercial lobbying team.
Stephen then moved to the USA to become Head of Office for the CEO and President of BT Worldwide and BT Solutions. Stephen subsequently ran BT's Content Hosting customer relations unit, and managed a strategy / change function in BT Wholesale, concentrating specifically on SE ASIA and the USA.
Prior to joining BT, Stephen worked in the House of Commons and House of Lords for the Right Honourable the Lord Cocks (ex. Government Chief Whip, Vice Chairman of the BBC, Deputy Chairman of the London Docklands Development Corporation, Deputy Chairman House of Lords), Right Honourable Ron Davies MP (ex Secretary of State for Wales), and the Right Honourable Elliot Morley MP (Minister of State, Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs).
Stephen sits on the Executive Board of ETNO.
Stephen has a BA (Hons) degree from the University of Ulster and an MSc from University College London.
