BT supports Ofcom's proposal to recommend to the secretary of state that the 20% data limit on a DAB multiplex to be replaced by a number of stations with no minimum bit rate requirement.
We believe that the effect of this proposal will promote commercial negotiations between users of the multiplex so that it more efficiently used.
We expect BT's Livetime video services to be the most significant driver of mobile DAB receivers in the UK for the next few years, which will promote DAB radio take-up.
