A Code of Practice was issued to BT people in the UK in December 2005. This was updated and relaunched in March 2008. It can be viewed at: 'It Matters' Code of Practice. E-learning courses, based on the revised Code are in development. These are designed to ensure that BT people are familiar with the Undertakings and their associated responsibilities.
This section reports the percentages of BT people in the UK who have completed their e-learning module, or, in the case of engineers, a customised telephone based programme which was launched in February 2006. The latest available results show that BT has achieved a very high level of completion. At the end of June 2008 the figures stood at:
|
BT Managers: |
98% |
|
BT Team Members: |
97% |
Views on two statements were sought in BT's annual employee survey in February 2008.
The statements are:
'I believe that BT treats all its customers, internal and external, in a fair and equal manner', and 'The company helps me to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.'
Positive responses were received from 69% and 77% of employees to each of these statements respectively. This compares to 70% and 78% in the 2007 survey. This indicates that performance is broadly at the same level as last year.
