Paul was appointed to the Board on 19 November 2001. In April 2000, he was appointed chief executive of BT Wholesale.
He joined BT in 1983 and has held a number of posts in forecasting, marketing, product management and senior management. From 1991 to 1993, he worked as director of the Office of the Chairman, before becoming director of multimedia. From 1999, he was managing director of networks and information services.
Paul is a non-executive director of Japanese corporation E-Access. He has a BA from Strathclyde University and a PhD from London University. Paul is 50 years old.
