BT Scotland agreed to advance the upgrade of three Forth Valley telephone exchanges for broadband. The switch-on of Grangemouth, Bonnybridge and Doune brings broadband availability to 16,000 more homes and businesses in the area. The three exchanges will offer broadband several months sooner than expected: Grangemouth and Bonnybridge went live with the technology in March and Doune follows on July 28. BT Scotland is working on the project with Scottish Enterprise Forth Valley. It is driving ICT awareness campaigns that BT Scotland believes justify the investment needed to accelerate the upgrades.
