Why we do it

Like many other important organisations, we have to comply with the UK's civil resilience legal and regulatory requirements – but BT is keen to do far more than simply complying.

When a disaster strikes, IT and communications are crucial, and we help the organisations involved in emergency planning to realise how important they are, and to plan for potential needs.

We also make sure all the organisations needed in emergencies are connected to BT’s support services.

In floods and fires, earthquakes and terrorist situations, BT has proved its contribution can be vital. When the community is endangered and in need, BT will always be ready to respond – rapidly, professionally and effectively.
