Stephen Allott, Crown Representative for SMEs, Cabinet Office

Stephen AllottStephen Allott is the Crown Representative for Small and Medium Enterprises working in the Cabinet Office. He served as chairman of the board of 7 SMEs and as a non-executive director on 2 further SMEs. He has also worked for McKinsey, Sun Microsystems, Micromuse and Xerox and is a graduate of Trinity College, Cambridge University.

Ian Dalton, President, Global Government & Health, BT

Ian DaltonIan is in charge of BT’s business with customers across the UK’s public sector. The projects Ian is responsible for are some of the largest and most complex networking and IT contracts in the world. With 27 years’ experience in the NHS and social care, Ian was one of England’s most senior healthcare leaders. Before BT, he was COO and deputy CEO for NHS England and held a number of senior roles in the NHS and the Department for Health.

James Hall, Crown Representative, Cabinet Office

James HallJames was appointed as Crown Representative by the Cabinet Office in April 2013. Prior to this he spent 30 years with Accenture, where he became UK Managing Partner. He left the firm in 2006 to join the Home Office as Director General, a role h held for 4 years. Since 2010 his career has diversified to encompass roles such as chair of Save Britain’s Heritage, Member of the Court of the University of Aberdeen and Chair of Carbon Clear Ltd.

Robin Ilbert, Director, Digital Services & Partnerships, BT

Robin IlbertRobin Ilbert is Director, Digital Services and Partnerships for BT Global Services, Government and Health Vertical and is responsible for the programme to harness the innovation that SME’s can bring to BT’s commercial engagement with Government. Robin has worked at BT for 15 years and held a number of commercial roles within the organisation. Prior to joining BT, Robin was part of a management team that set-up and ran an SME e-Procurement consultancy.

Dan Kirk, Strategy Director, BT Business

Dan KirkDan is responsible for developing strategy for BT Business. He joined BT in June 2010. Prior to that he was a partner in Value Partners’ European telecoms practice. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MA from Cambridge.

Marco Salzedo, Vice President, Procurement Operations and Group Services

Marco SalzedoMarco is responsible for BT’s procurement of group services such as consultancy, travel , HR and legal services as well as having responsibility for BT ‘s Procurement systems and tools. Marco has worked for BT for seven years in various roles which has also included the buying of new network technologies. Prior to join BT , Marco worked for several major global telecommunications providers including 2 years working on the introduction of new smartcard innovation.

Elizabeth Varley, Co-founder and CEO, TechHub

Elizabeth VarleyElizabeth is involved in the digital and content sectors. Previously, Elizabeth set up Online Content UK as an organisation for online content professionals running an industry-focused community & regular events. She has also worked with NMK & Chinwag to programme and produce digital industry events & training covering search and recommendation, mobile and location-based services, SEO/SEM, games, web writing, marketing to 50+ and older consumers, future of media, magazines, radio, TV and newspapers. Elizabeth is committed to supporting the wider industry and was one of the founding steering committee members of the DigitalEve women in technology organisation in the UK.
