BT Basic is simple. It’s a low-cost line rental service that is easy to use and understand. All phone calls are clearly priced. This means you will know what to expect when your bill comes. If you know roughly how much your bill is going to be, this will help you manage your money.

"Call My Bill" and "View My Bill"

You can use our automated service "Call My Bill" by phoning 0800 44 33 11. Call My Bill tells you how much you have spent on phone calls since you got your last bill. When you phone, choose option one and then option two and make sure you have your account number with you.

You can also manage your bill online with View My Bill.

Customer Controlled Call Barring

Call Barring lets you control the calls that can be made from your phone. BT Basic comes with a Call Barring option which allows you to stop certain calls being dialled from your phone. You can bar a range of call types, for example, to international destinations, mobile phones or to Premium Rate numbers (these are calls to chatlines or TV shows). There is no charge for this service.
