BT opens new hands on centre for people with disabilities in Bath

A new centre showcasing products for people with disabilities has been opened by BT in Bath.

The Try Before You Buy centre is located at the Green Park Station offices of deafPLUS, a charity which benefits and promotes the welfare of deaf and hard of hearing people throughout the area. It is the latest to join a network of 20 BT centres throughout the South West, which gives people with various disabilities the chance to try out specially designed equipment to ensure it suits their needs.

Dave Barrett, BT’s accessibility manager, said “The new centre underlined BT’s commitment to providing products and services tailored to people who have hearing, sight, mobility, dexterity, speech and learning difficulties.”

“It is so important that people can see, touch and try out different products at their leisure so they don’t have the disappointment of buying something that turns out to be unsuitable and then having to return it,” he added.

There are now more than 200 Try Before You Buy centres across the UK. To find your nearest go to www.btplc.com/inclusion/TrybeforeYouBuy or call BT on 0800 800 150.
