Celebrity voices tell the time

Be given the time of day by a celebrity by calling the BT Speaking Clock.

Until 23 March, callers dialling 123 will be given an accurate time check by
Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh, fellow pop-star Gary Barlow, and presenters Chris Moyles and Fearne Cotton

These five stars, who are also taking part in the BT Red Nose Climb of Mount Kilimanjaro, will share the time-keeping duties over the next two months to help raise funds for Comic Relief.

Each celebrity will replace the "pips" with their own special Comic Relief sound - ranging from kisses and raspberries to piano chords - in a bid to Do Something Funny for Money.

A special guest voice will feature in the run-up to Red Nose Day on Friday 13 March - but only callers to the BT Speaking Clock will be able to find out who it is.

BT aims to raise more than £300,000 for Comic Relief by donating 10p per call made from a BT fixed line in the UK to the BT Speaking Clock during this fundraising period.

BT Retail consumer managing director John Petter said: "The more people that dial 123, the more money Comic Relief will make. And we hope each of the celebrities will make callers smile, as well as giving an accurate time check."
