Joe and Audrey Use Broadband to Keep in Touch
Joe Sheridan lives with his wife Audrey and baby daughter Abigale in Scotland . During the week, he works away from home, helping to provide BSL translation for TV programmes.
Broadband is a great way for a deaf couple to keep in touch. They use webcams every day to sign to each other. Joe can also sign to Abi. And she gets a chance to see her dad every day even though he’s away from home.
Lots of Joe’s deaf colleagues use webcams to communicate. He believes it’s something all BSL users could really benefit from – it’s become part of family life.
